There are the normal configuration controls: Order: by each element, row or column, Timings and the Appearance e.g. fast display, width and shape of highlight and the inset etc.  

Conventional wired switches and buttons, or remotely by Bluetooth Click2Go which even controls a CE PDA (mobile phone)
